Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.Mechanical engineering, the broadest of all Engineering disciplines deals with design and production of tools, machines and all other mechanical equipments.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the major activities in the engineering profession and its principles are involved in the design, study, development and construction of nearly all of the physical devices and systems. Continued research and development have led to better machines and processes helping the mankind.

The college focuses on mechanical engineering career with experienced &dedicated faculty. Instruction using the latest technology is provided in both small-group and individualized settings in the classroom and the laboratory. The goal of our program is to prepare students for leadership roles in the engineering profession. At BMCTM students learn to define and solve engineering problems, as well as to understand the ethical nature of the engineering profession. They also acquire the skills needed to maintain professional competence throughout their careers by becoming life-long learners.

It is an engineering specialty that includes such diverse topics as materials science, thermodynamics, solid and fluid mechanics, heat transfer, manufacturing processes, system dynamics, control theory, vibration analysis, and project management.
